How does a person qualify for food stamps in Texas?
I have recently been laid off of my job and I am not receiving any unemployment insurance. I am single and need help. Will I qualify for food stamps?
I went to the office and told them that I have no income and was forced to sell off personal items just to keep a roof over my head. I did not qualify for emergency assistance? What do you have to tell these people in order to get some help?
That’s Texas for you. Texas is messed up as it doesn’t really help its citizens. Texas is controlled by Republicans who want to make the rich even richer and screw everyone else. I hate them so much. Republicans think it shouldn’t be given to anyone. I hate republicans because they think poor people should die.
Try going to a food bank.
Absolutly , don't wait , go to the welfare office as soon as it opens tomorrow .

It’s not the state of Texas & the Republicans that you need to blame for the current situation. You need to blame all of the low lifes who are sitting on their butts, taking whatever is handed to them, without trying to make a living. You & I work, and need a little help to get through. That’s acceptable- if you’re trying to make it and working, I have no problem with people receiving help. It’s these people who just think it’s owed to them and don’t try to help themselves. THEY are the ones bleeding the system, not the Republicans.
